Grade: 7

Term: Temporary until 31 December 2018, although we hope this can be extended.

Hours:  25 hour per week, term time only.

Closing Date: 10 January 2018

Proposed Interview date: 18 January 2018

Do you want to be part of a child-centred, community-focused and forward thinking team? Well this could be the job for you! We are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to join our team and help us to find the extraordinary in every child! Initially, the post will be until 31/12/18, however, we hope this can be extended further.

We are looking for someone who understands that each child is unique and as such is able to support them individually and in groups to remove barriers to learning. Our children have had a very difficult year and deserve the best. Therefore we need someone who is kind, patient and motivated with an edge so that our children are championed. Communication skills are key to the role as you will be working with a range of professionals both in and out of school and therefore a good standard of spoken and written English is vital. You will be a vital part of the CAF/TAF process and support families both in school and as part of home visits. You will also be a key member of the school’s safeguarding team and be involved in monitoring and supporting attendance.

Please feel free to call the school and speak with the headteacher Chris Upton if you require more information. Visits to the school are warmly encouraged.

Tarleton Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of all pupils and as such is rigorous in its procedures and expects all staff to share this commitment.
